چکیده

Via a sequence of approximations the Lagrangian in Hamilton's principle for dispersive nonlinear gravity waves we derive hierarchy Hamiltonian models describing wave-current interaction (WCI) wave dynamics on free surfaces. A subclass these WCI Hamiltonians admits emergent singular solutions certain initial conditions. These solutions are identified with momentum map left action diffeomorphisms semidirect-product Lie algebra. This algebra comprises vector fields representing horizontal current velocity acting scalar functions elevation. We use computational simulations to demonstrate dynamical interactions emergent wavefront trains which admitted by this special variety style='text-indent:20px;'>In paper, investigate: style='text-indent:20px;'>(1) localised configurations still water whose subsequent propagation generates surface-elevation an initially flat surface; and style='text-indent:20px;'>(2) The release confined surface elevation that generate dynamically interacting fronts currents trains. results show intricate patterns structures similar those seen, example, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images taken from space shuttle.

Dispersion Evaluation In Optical Wave Guides

One of the factors which limits the transmission capacity of the fiber optics communication channel is the material dispersion. Exact analytical study of the material dispersion is often complex and involves calculating the derivatives of the refractive index of the core. These calculations are too cumbersome to do, especially for high-order derivatives. So material dispersion has only been stu...

Nonlinear Transfer From Wave-Wave Interactions

Nonlinear transfer from wave-wave i n teractions is an important term in the action-balance equation governing t h e e v olution of the surface-gravity-wave eld. Computation of this term, however, has hitherto been so consuming of computer resources that its full representation has not been feasible in nonparametric two-dimensional computer models of this e q u ation. This paper describes the i...

Fully nonlinear wave-current interactions and kinematics by a BEM-based numerical wave tank

A numerical wave tank (NWT) with fully nonlinear free-surface boundary conditions is developed to investigate nonlinear wave–wave and wave–current interactions and the resulting kinematics. In the present paper, the variation of wave amplitude and wave length of a monochromatic wave under several different speeds of steady uniform currents is studied through direct numerical simulations in the ...

Nonlinear wave interactions in quantum magnetoplasmas

Abstract Nonlinear interactions involving electrostatic upper-hybrid (UH), ion-cyclotron (IC), lowerhybrid (LH), and Alfvén waves in quantum magnetoplasmas are considered. For this purpose, the quantum hydrodynamical equations are used to derive the governing equations for nonlinearly coupled UH, IC, LH, and Alfvén waves. The equations are then Fourier analyzed to obtain nonlinear dispersion re...
